It was announced at the Games Expo E3 that Patrick Stewart, famous for portraying Captain Jean Luc Picard on Star Trek: The Next Generation, will be doing the voice of the king in the next Elder Scrolls game series.
In the next installment called “The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion” Stewart, along with other soon to be named famous actors will lend their voices to the various characters of the game.
“The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion” is a fantasy role playing game that gives the player a free hand on deciding how to play the game. The game is not level based so players are free to navigate through and explore the country of Tamriel pretty much on their own.
The basic premise concerns demonic forces that are released from “Oblivion” and their attempt to take over the world, while it is the job of the players to eliminate the demons.
The trailer looks enticing and promises to be as exciting, perhaps more so than its predecessor, “The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind.”
“The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion” has a scheduled release date for Christmas 2005 and will be available for PC and XBox 360 format.
